The 15-minute free training is available to everyone, however, the content is geared towards anglers who fish for deepwater reef fish such as red snapper, gag grouper, and others.
Anglers who complete the training will receive discount codes to purchase release gear directly from manufacturers, if interested. You may have heard about getting free gear – and that’s great! We are thrilled to have reached our early program goals for gear distribution, but as of Friday, May 16, 2025, we are no longer able to provide free release gear. We will keep a list of those who complete the training in the event we can resume distribution in the future. We remain committed to our mission and strongly encourage anglers to take the education module and use best release practices!
